Description
From the Winemakers’ Website: Washington is known for having world class Merlot, and this bottling is no exception. Most of the components of this Merlot were fermented in stainless steel uprights with the exception of the Champoux Merlot, which was fermented in a pump under fermenter. We used PDM yeast on the Katherine Leone Merlot, Goose Ridge Merlot, Cougar Syrah, and Goose Ridge Malbec with 796 yeast used on the Champoux Merlot. All components then completed 100% malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and were aged for 25 months in 2 and 3-year-old French Oak barrels. Blend/Vineyard Notes: 94% Merlot, 3% Malbec, u0026amp; 3% Syrah Tasting Notes: Aromatics of bright cherry, blackberries, and cedar. On the palate, fresh herbs and blackberry that linger on the palate. On the finish, a touch of oak and lingering spice.
