Fixin right next to Gevrey Chambertin gives one many of the characteristics of their more famous cousin. This wine from 40 yr old vines tastes like many Gevrey Chambertins for a fraction of the cost. Beautiful nose with red berries of raspberry and strawberry. Secondary notes of earth, smoke, a bit of barn house and oak. Very rich structure with the berries to give the right texture. Medium tannins and good amount of acidity. Good longevity. A great value!
