When Veneto legend Giuseppe Quintarelli was asked years ago to name the region’s next superstar, he didn’t hesitate: Tommaso Bussola. Quintarelli’s prediction began to be realized in 1999, when Tomasso’s 1995’s were released. Among the countless accolades he received, Gambero Rosso gave him the first of many Tre Bicchieris for his majestic Recioto TB. Originally trained as a stone mason, Tommaso took over over his uncle’s Valpolicella estate—with its prized old vineyards in the heart of the Classico zone—in the mid-1980’s. While vineyard work came naturally to him, he experimented relentlessly, and absorbed information and ideas from every source available. With each passing vintage, his wines came to show more polish, finesse, intensity, and personality. By the late nineties, his style had matured, and his wines had become world-famous for their incredible intensity of fruit. Like other top Veneto winemakers, he uses new barrels, but any hint of new wood is hidden by cascades of lush, opulent fruit. — Importer

Deep Ruby Red with a Garnet rim as it ages. On the nose, very complex, with aromas of red berry fruit like cherry and plum. Light balsamic and spicy notes with a hint of chocolate. On the palate, full bodied, well structured, complex and balanced with a long finish. The history of Cantine Tinazzi began with the commitment and passion of Eugenio Tinazzi at the end of the ‘60s in Cavaion Veronese, on the shores of Lake Garda. Gian Andrea Tinazzi, the founder’s son, at the time only 18 years old, worked alongside his father in running the business from the outset. Thanks to his decisive and entrepreneurial character, he gradually broadened the company’s horizons, both in terms of production and markets. Today, Gian Andrea’s children, Francesca and Giorgio, manage with their father what has become a major wine production group based in Lazise, on Lake Garda. – Winery

The most loved wine, appreciated even by casual drinkers for its pleasing qualities. An excellent and amazing wine for its intense and clear fruit flavour, that is always there to surprise you. Corvina 50% and Corvinone 20%, Rondinella 25%, Molinara5%. Grapes are colleted during the first ten days of october and they are delicately pressed. then the first fermentation begins, which aims to preserve the fragrance and elegance of these grapes. At the end of february it is then left to ferment on the marcs of Amarone (ripasso technique) for about 8-10 days; this gives it character, softness and complexity. refining is done in wooden barriques for almost 2 years and in bottles for at least 6 months before being sold. – Winery
