Cui Cui Cremant D’alsace

The grapes are picked entirely by hand and carried to a pneumatic press which gently extracts the juice but none of the bitterness from the seeds and stems. The juice is then fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and kept cool in stainless after that. Secondary fermentation is done using the traditional (Champagne) method with a long slow fermentation to build up effervescence in the bottle for a minimum of 12 months. The bottles are then disgorged and receive a small 5-6 gram per liter dosage. The bottles are then allowed to rest further in the winery before being released. -Winery

A very richly faceted bouquet that is captured in this wine, with ripe fruity notes of melon, white peach, pear or delicious apple, but also with aromas of quince jelly, dried fruit, pear, orange and pineapple, accompanied by hints of graphite and a touch of jasmine tending to mineral. The combination of fruity, aromatic and savory gustatory components is also present on the palate, where the soft and creamy characteristics emerge more vigorous, until a very aromatic, persistent and distinctly mineral aftertaste is perceived – Estate

Paul Blanck Pinot Blanc D’alsace 2018

The juice is extracted with infinite care in our air-bag press. The slow, gentle pressing avoids crushing the stalks and pips. The must starts fermenting of its own accord thanks to the natural yeast present in the juice, and the fermentation generally lasts from 4 to 10 weeks. It is carried out in stainless-steel vats equipped with temperature control, a medium which maximises the expression of this variety’s aromas.- The Winery

Donnhoff Weissburgunder Trocken 2018

The Dönnhoff family first came to the Nahe region over 200 years ago, and after establishing a modest farm slowly evolved into a full-fledged wine estate. Helmut Dönnhoff has been making the wine since 1966, and now his son Cornelius is the 4th generation to run this historic winery and their 25 hectares of Erste Lage, or grand cru vineyards. Their holdings represent some of the best in the Nahe and all of Germany. This is from two main vineyards Oberhauser Felsenberg (volcanic) and Kieselberg (slate) as well as declassified fruit from the Grand Cru sites and Klamm, a new acquisition, a hectare in the (Niederhäuser) Klamm which we know from Jakob – it’s a mélange of slate and weathered porphyry, and has both steep and flat sections. The Estate wine combines the two major soils that dominate the holdings for the estate, giving the drinker a look into what Dönnhoff is all about. This wine is a quintessential dry Weissburgunder from the Nahe valley. Fully fermented, with stunning character and an elegant minerality – a beautiful complement to any meal. — Importer
