Graham’s Vintage Port 2017

This wine is produced from vines at the flagship Graham’s property in the Douro valley, Quinta dos Malvedos, with small parcels of top graded grapes from Quinta do Tua, Quinta da Vila Velha, and Quinta do Vale das Malhadas. In 2017 42% less rain fell at Malvedos than the 30 year average and the vines produced a small but extremely high-quality crop with extraordinary concentration. The wine was fermented in small batches at our specialist on-site winery at Malvedos. It carries the classic Graham’s hallmarks – full-bodied, rich, and opulent – and will provide great drinking pleasure for decades to come. – Winery

Taylor Fladgate 30 Year Tawny Port

No tasting note provided Only every two or three years is a reserve of Port with sufficient structure, fruit and power to age laid aside to age in oak casks. Those that have reached their peak after thirty years are then blended together for balance and finesse, and to ensure consistency of quality and style. The 30 year old tawny is one such wine. The wines are matured in seasoned oak casks in Taylor’s cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Here the cool and damp coastal climate encourages a slow and gentle ageing process, producing aromas of great complexity and finesse. -Winery

Quinta De Roriz Prazo De Roriz Douro Red 2017

The hand-picked grapes for Prazo de Roriz are placed in small, shallow containers and on arrival at the Quinta de Roriz winery the bunches are manually sorted, after which the berries undergo an automated selection process to ensure that only grapes in ideal condition reach the stainless steel vats. Following gentle crushing, fermentation is induced through inoculation with a specially selected yeast culture and proceeds at temperatures between 22 and 24°C. Gentle macerations are favoured in order to produce fresh and fruity wines, approachable from a young age whilst retaining good ageing potential.- Winery

Graham’s Six Grapes

It is a very full-bodied, luscious wine drawn from the same vineyards as Graham’s Vintage Ports. Blended from two or three years’ harvests, the wine is an average of five to six years old when bottled. It follows the Graham’s Vintage style very closely, although it has softened more quickly by being matured in oak casks rather than in bottle. Its extremely rich fruity style makes it a truly superb, rare and appealing Port. -Winery

Wine And Soul Pintas Character 2017

Pintas Character is made from a field blend of 30 different varieties from the 45-year old Vale de Mendiz vineyard adjacent to the 85-year old Pintas vineyard. Some of the varieties are the indigenous Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Nacional. The wine is fermented in traditional granite lagares and aged for 18 months in 50% new and 50% second-passage French oak barriques. Rich and powerful, this wine shows notes of raspberry, black cherry and plums. On the palate it is fresh and velvety with well integrated tannins and a long, persistent finish

Fonseca Bin #27 was created over a century ago for family consumption, and only released commercially in 1972. It is produced primarily from wines from Fonseca’s own quintas in the Cima Corgo and thus shows an exceptional quality and consistency from year to year. Blended from reserve wines selected for their superb fruit character and depth of color, it’s well-knit structure, rich, velvety full body and luscious blackcurrant and cherry flavors, also dominant in the bouquet, finish on an intense, lingering note. -Winery
